As a General Labourer at Blue Developments, you will be an essential part of our team You will also have the chance to contribute to various general labor tasks as needed, making every day different and exciting. In our line of business, you will have two seasons - Snow and Sun.

What your job will look like:
SNOW SEASON- your primary tasks will revolve around snow removal. You will be expected to have a proper mode of transportation (ie. truck) that is able to transport supplied equipment (snow blowers, shovels and other gear.) You will be given a list of properties that will be your responsibility to maintain throughout the winter season and provide snow removal for anytime the snow falls. This would require "on call" services including weekends and holidays. Some weeks may be very time consuming with snow removal - and other weeks will be quite slow. During the slow time - there may be other projects to complete involving residential painting and renovations. Other times it may be down time where you are still getting paid as you would be a salary position It is a WIN - WIN for us both You have a steady paycheque regardless of how many hours you work.

SUN SEASON: as the weather slowly moves into spring, and the dreaded winter comes to an end - your next tasks do start levelling out from sporadic winter on-call to a more "regular" 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday type of job This is where the fun happens though - some weeks you'll be painting, some demo'ing, some doing lawn care & landscaping. Everything will change and you and your manager will be working extensively together to tackle all the projects we have on hand

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Using various equipment (e.g. snow blowers, shovels, drills, power tools, etc.)
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor
- Perform physical labor tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of work sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience general labor painting preferred but not required
- Ability to work in cold and adverse weather conditions
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Valid driver's license and vehicle of transportation (ie. Truck) able to transport large equipment ( ie. snowblower, ladders, tools, etc.)
- Safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
