**Youth Justice Workers 6-Month Contracts**

To assist youth in conflict with the law, 12 to 17 years of age, in a secure custody facility.

University degree preferred and/or community college diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in psychology, criminology, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with high-risk youth.
- Criminal reference check declared suitable for vulnerable sector employment,
- Up-to-date Immunization status according to national standards, _including proof of prior Two-step TB testing._
- _ Covid-19- second dose and boosters_
- Current First Aid / CPR-C certificate
- Valid class G driver’s license and offense-free driving
- Bilingualism and volunteer experience are assets.

Applicants for a Residential Full-Time Youth Justice Worker must be available to attend a
**mandatory** training period (anticipated start June, fully paid days, exact dates TBA)
**and be able to work a shift schedule consisting of immediate call-in and predetermined shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends**.

**Wage: $47,424.00 annually.**
