Norbel Metal Service has been in business since 1967. We are a family-oriented, steel processing facility, servicing our valued customers. At Norbel Metal we have over 120,000 sq/ft of warehouse space in Etobicoke, providing us with a central location to all of our customers across Southern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily inspections of slitter machine at the beginning of each shift
- Assist line operators in completing machine set-ups to cut metal coils into smaller widths and lengths
- Use lifting equipment to move the correct material to the production line for each scheduled order
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality products are produced within specified tolerances
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet customer specifications
- Assist in packaging material according to order specifications
- Participate in daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience (Steel manufacturing is an asset)
- Ability to read imperial measurements and work instructions
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Overhead Crane experience is an asset
- Good work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamworking and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
