**Summary**

Under the authority of the Planning Director, the Planner-Buyer coordinates the production planning activities of the product lines under his responsibility as well as certain activities related to the shipment of products.

He coordinates the sourcing activities of certain raw materials and production supplies under his responsibility as needed and in accordance with the standards, policies and values of the company.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Analyzes, defines and plans the sequence of manufacturing operations; monitors production to successfully satisfy customer needs and optimize the use of existing resources ( capacity, lead times)
- Develops effective policies on Safety stocks and finishes product reorder points (ROPs) that will maximize finished product inventory turnover and allow the company to achieve its sales objectives.
- Monitors supply processes and inter-company products in accordance with established policies and takes corrective measures with the various departments involved in meeting customer requests.
- Performs tasks related to shipping certain products as needed.
- Releases and follows up on orders with suppliers for products covered by previously negotiated supply agreements. Carry out the appropriate transactions in order to meet the raw material needs according to the exception messages in SAP and to avoid any out of stock;
- Is responsible for the relationship with the suppliers assigned to him for everything related to the management of purchase orders, the monitoring of non-conformities, supplier indicators. Collaborates with the commodity managers and the quality team.
- Maintains performance indicators related to his work, initiates and participates in the development of action plans to improve results and costs.

**Professional skills/Qualifications**

**1) **Minimum level of education and/or specialization**:
Ø DEC in operation management

Ø DEC in industrial management

Ø Any other relevant combination of training and experience for the position

**2) **Minimum relevant experience required**:
Ø 3 years in a similar position

**Specific skills and requirements**:

- Available for a shift from 7H00 à 15H30
- Office work required
- Bilingualism (oral and written)
- Analytical skills
- Knowledge of MRP and productivity / capacity management
- Practical knowledge of SAP (asset)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
- Strong communicator
- Solid leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
