**Lead, Volunteer Services**

**Job Overview**:
Do you have a passion for volunteer-driven programs, a desire to work in the mental health field, a belief in the power of peer support, and the drive to play a significant role in the continued growth of an organization? Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders (LGF) is seeking a dynamic and energetic Lead, Volunteer Services to ensure our peer support programs have skilled volunteers in place and that our volunteers have an excellent volunteer experience.

The Lead, Volunteer Services will play a key role in LGF and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition plan, enhancing the reach and impact of our programs. This individual will plan, lead, and engage a large volunteer team by taking an active role in connecting volunteers with the LGF community, supporting training initiatives, developing new avenues for volunteers and volunteer activities, and celebrating their contributions. Bringing compassion and excellence to the role, you will work closely with the program team members to ensure volunteers are well matched to programs and supported throughout their time with Looking Glass.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and initial training of all volunteers and liaising with the program team regarding best program placement.
- Review and revise current volunteer job descriptions and volunteer resources and align with on-going program changes.
- Maintain and collect data that supports various programs for evaluation and research.
- Provide direct supervision to practicum students from contracted post secondary institutions.
- Organize systems such as Mentor city, Smartsheet, Survey Monkey to ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and delivery of volunteer services.
- Help to develop and promote training materials for volunteers as part of on-going training.
- Organize and attend recruitment events, distribute recruitment materials, identify new recruitment streams.
- Provide volunteer management for special events such as LGF gala and eating disorder awareness week.
- Strategize with the team about future volunteer needs for the broader LGF community.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background and Experience:_
- Related degree/diploma with at least 3 years of experience in a related position.
- Knowledge of volunteer management processes, and recruitment, and retention approaches.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using MS Office suite, including OneDrive
- Experience conducting interviews/assessments with a diverse population.
- Good time management and organizational skills; and ability to work independently.
- Proven experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent inter-cultural communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals and positive results.

**Terms**:

- Reports to Director, Programs and Operations
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week
- Salary range: $58,000 - $62,000/year, dependent on qualifications and experience
- Extended benefits package following 3 month wait period
- Flexible, hybrid work schedule, with minimum 3 days in the office located in Vancouver
- Flexibility to work some Saturdays and occasional evenings is required
- A criminal record check with vulnerable sector is required
