As a Pricing Actuary, you will be an analytics leader for Westland Insurance Group by building a framework to monitor rate adequacy across our portfolio of in-house products - Personal and Commercial Lines. You will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement rate programs and for working with the actuaries representing our partners to reach a common view on the rate adequacy of all our in-house facilities. You will also contribute your pricing expertise in the development of price optimization and customer lifetime value analysis

**Why we’ll love You**:

- A minimum of 3-5 years prior P&C actuarial work experience
- Fellow (FCAS) or Associate (ACAS) of the Casualty Actuarial Society or working towards that designation
- Extensive knowledge of actuarial pricing and current best practice
- Knowledge and experience with modeling software: R, Python, SAS
- Ability to communicate technical analysis to a variety of non-technical audiences from senior management to operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

**Once here, you'll**:

- Performing actuarial pricing analyses and build framework to monitor rate adequacy
- Working with underwriting and operations to implement pricing change
- Leading the ongoing pricing algorithm system design and implementation
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and others across the business to build data asset using modern data stack in Azure cloud.
- Identifying and incorporating 3rd party data where there is a business case
- Coordinating the implementation of pricing analysis and testing with systems
- Building out predictive models that target retention and conversion
- Opportunity to contribute across the analytics value chain if desired
