**What this role is all about**:**

**What you’ll get to do as an AME Apprentice**:

- Learn and perform all work assigned in accordance with the instruction and procedures described in Maintenance Manuals and WestJet task cards;
- Report any defect that is noted in the course of performing maintenance;
- Carry out maintenance or furnishings related duties as assigned;
- Responsible for accurately accounting for all maintenance tasks completed by updating logbook;
- Complete WestJet Apprentice training exercises in a timely manner - at least one a month over a 20-month period.

**Core Requirements of the role include**:

- Completion of a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance program with 18-month accreditation.
- 95% Attendance
- 70% minimum mark in each course
- Must display adequate knowledge and understanding to the Maintenance managers for the responsibilities associated with the position.
