Somatic MEP is looking for an experienced **Electrical Superintendent **to join and lead our field workers within our electrical division. We are experiencing fantastic growth, and want you to grow along with us.

Our division delivers quality projects in commercial and light industrial construction, maintains multiple commercial buildings, as well as assisting in all electrical facets of our HVAC and plumbing divisions. Preference will be given to a well rounded leader with proven success, and additional aptitude in mechanical controls and fire alarm systems.

The majority of the work is in Vancouver, though we do serve the entire lower mainland.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee and manage multiple electrical projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and solutions
- Supervise and provide leadership to foremen, journeymen, and apprentices on site
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project
- Maintain relationships with our valued clientele and supply office with detailed job reports
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management
- Assist the office in material procurement

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **Minimum 3 years** of electrical experience as a superintendent, or proven leader, in a commercial/light industrial environment
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- **Valid Red Seal accreditation, FSR an asset**:

- Effective written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to safety, attitude for success and working toward having a mix of technical skills, work experience and academic skill
- Service, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office an asset
- Able to work independently (with and without supervision) with good time management
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions

**WORK SCHEDULE**:

- Full Time
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Overtime available, project dependent
- Flexibility for evenings and weekends an asset (premium/overtime pay)

**PAY RATE**:

- $45 - $50/hr

**Somatic MEP provides ongoing company sponsored training and certifications. There are opportunities for advancement at all levels.**

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
