**Job Summary**:
**LOCATION**: Administration Building
**POSITION**: Payroll Clerk
**HOURS OF WORK**: 35 hours per week
**START DATE**: April 30, 2023
**Nature & Scope of Position**:
Performs clerical/secretarial tasks including maintaining confidential payroll records and
processing computerized payroll system.
Importing, processing and reconciling electronic timesheets.
Analyze pay reports each pay run.
Calculating salary, overtime and retro amounts owing.
Manage payroll deductions and applicable remittances.
Perform payroll accounting duties in the accumulating, recording, and processing of data for
payroll.
Prepare Records of Employment.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Payroll.
Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive,

populations.
**Qualifications**:
3 year community college diploma with accounting emphasis.
A minimum of 3 years previous payroll experience in an automated environment or
experience deemed acceptable by GECDSB is required.
Familiarity with employment/payroll legislation within the last ten years is considered an
asset.
Knowledge of IPPS is considered an asset.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet
The Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate is considered an asset.
