**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:
This position involves ministering to students for either an elementary Family of Schools or a secondary school. Niagara Catholic Chaplaincy Leaders lead and support a variety of faith experiences; facilitating and providing resources for active prayer life within schools; assisting with pastoral care; facilitating and supporting social justice awareness and initiatives; sharing in the building, sustaining and development of Catholic culture; and facilitate and provide resources for retreats through faith filled positive relationships between schools and parishes. Chaplaincy Leaders will visit classes, assist with liturgies and facilitate retreats. Chaplaincy Leaders will collaborate with students, other chaplaincy leaders, school level staff, priests, parish personnel, system level staff, parents and the school community.

Niagara Catholic Chaplaincy Leaders will meet the expectations as outlined in the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario Pastoral Letter on Catholic Chaplaincy and the Mission, Vision and Values of the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Chaplaincy Leaders will model Gospel values, Catholic social teachings and the new evangelization of the Catholic Church.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:
Demonstrated and referenced experience in parish lay ministry or school chaplaincy

A degree in Divinity, Theology or its equivalent in Theological background

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated leadership, commitment to Catholic faith traditions and active parish/diocese involvement.

Experience in a consultative capacity.

This is a casual/on-call position

**SALARY RANGE**: $62,851.28-$69,834.76
