The In-Store Merchandiser is responsible for executing exciting, cutting edge visual presentations for interior merchandising and windows. Communicating current styling trends to meet Laura Canada’s visual and marketing strategies encouraging customers to purchase; supporting a superior shopping experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strong visual presentation skills with the ability to drive business through creativity and fashion consciousness
- Create visual impact with window mannequins, floor displays and merchandise presentation to showcase the store’s inventory while enhancing Laura Canada’s company image
- Demonstrate an understanding of the store clientele’s preferences adhering to visual standards, including any mandatory directives that may be issued
- Completes the store visit/visual checklist in conjunction with management as a planning tool
- Maintains standards regarding folding and sizing, proper usage of hangers and removal of excess tags
- Communicates deficiencies and unsafe store conditions to management ordering and replacing lightbulbs in the store, backroom, and exit signs ensuring sufficient lighting throughout the store
- Has constant customer awareness and knows to stop, drop, and serve
- Ensures health and safety standards are met at all times, ensuring all visual elements (when not in use) are properly stored in a designated area in the backroom
- Participates in new store set-up and openings within region as required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in visual merchandising in retail environment
- Certificate or diploma in fashion preferred i.e. Visual Merchandising Arts, Fashion Arts, Fashion Management, or Retail Management
- Ability to lift 30- 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance
- Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
- Must be very flexible with hours of work and be comfortable with ever changing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Great communicator and listener, with an ability to prioritize and multi task
- Demonstrates fashion flair and creativity
