15 Wing, headquartered in Moose Jaw, is the centre of RCAF aircrew training and is comprised of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (CFFTS) and 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (CF Snowbirds) both located in Moose Jaw, SK. The Wing is the principal site of the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC). 15 Wing is responsible for three different aircraft platforms that include: CT-156 Harvard II, CT-155 Hawk, CT-114 Tutor, and any visiting aircraft.

**Job Summary**

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is located in Moose Jaw, SK and typically reports directly to the Site Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the delivery of facilities and grounds services and maintenance using an internal workforce and subcontracts. The FM Supervisor will establish maintenance routines and coordinate the daily activity of multi-skilled trades personnel.

CBO employees are multi-skill; therefore, it will be also expected that the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will assist other departments on an as-required basis, consistent with their capabilities.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Manages, plans, schedules and provides direction to staff performing inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs and tasks generated by the CMMS.
- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs and tasks generated by the CMMS.
- Ensures co-ordination of all work with end users to assure timely and efficient delivery of facilities maintenance and services.
- Providing input and developing reports and documentation in support of annual Operations and Capital budgets.
- Assists in the preparation and development of Additional Work Requests (AWR) and capital work.
- Prepares and submits quotations for out of scope work to customer.
- Negotiates price, quality and delivery dates with sub-contractors and material suppliers.
- Consulting with subcontractors on a regular basis to ensure compliance with legislated policies and standards.
- Ensures that all facilities work and modifications, conform to the applicable codes and standards.
- Resolves technical issues with tradesmen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensures that all federal and provincial safety and environmental regulations are adhered to.
- Identifies the training and career development needs of subordinates.
- Participating in the recruitment, retention and training of all staff.
- Ensures the quality control plan is adhered to.
- Providing general assistance to other personnel as required
- Inspects subcontracted work and reports deficient work of related trades.
- Is responsible to maintain a high level of security while performing and executing their scope of work.
- Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all tools and equipment.
- Performing other related duties and tasks in various trades in support of the effective and efficient delivery of the program.
- Principal CBO lead for the execution of locates required for dig permits

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Certified Engineering technician or a provincial journeyman with at least 5 years related experience in a supervisory and planning capacity.
- Considerable experience in the building and utility trades areas, as related to Airport Operations and Maintenance.

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

Intermediate knowledge and understanding of:

- Must pass an enhanced reliability security clearance
- Have a valid class 5 driver's licence
- Have valid First Aid/CPR qualification.
- Must pass a medical examination, Drug and Alcohol test.
- Experience in supervision of a diversified technical maintenance staff.
- Experience or the ability to provide training for all task responsibilities related to the airfield facilities and utilities maintenance program.
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical and electrical drawings.
