**THE OPPORTUNITY**

GR (CAN) investment is hiring a **Planning Assistant **to join our **Planning & Construction** team For **Riverfront Project **in Niagara Falls.

**What You’ll Do**:As the Planning Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Planning Team operations. You will support the planning team with all planning and engineering related activities that occur within the river front project planning.

**Who You Are**:This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience in administration strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You will ideally have strong communication skills with the government, professional consultants, and our clients. Computer skills with proficiency in Excel and Word, and any experience in planning is a definite asset.

**What We Offer**:

- Salary range of **$40,000 - $55,000** based on skill level, qualifications, and experience.
- Annual performance bonus

- 2 weeks’ vacation

**Work Environment**: This role is to be performed in person at our Niagara Falls comfortable office.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provided planning manager assistance during the development of the River Front project, such as communication with the city, drawings review, and various meetings.
- Provide support to the Planning team by monitoring the planning activities within the related documents preparation and conjunction, conference, and timeline control to ensure consistency.
- Planning documents are categorized and organized.
- Update of related planning documents.
- Assist in the preparation of the draft plan, site plan, and zoning by-law submission.
- Assist in the processing of invoices.
- Provide support for the preparation of monthly city meetings; pre-consultant meetings; regular meetings.
- Update information related to project progress as required (e.g. Land, PIN, site plan, landuse)

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Planning, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, and Business Administration are preferred.
- Computer skills are required including proficiency with MS Office products.
- 1-2 year’s experience in administration and planning management preferred.

**Skills, Knowledge, and Required Competencies**
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
- Basic working knowledge of planning regulations and requirements related to the Planning Act.
- General knowledge of engineering practices is an asset; and;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and experienced with SKU would be considered an asset.

**RIVER FRONT OVERVIEW**

Our project is located at beautiful Niagara Falls, covering 290 acres, including an amazing pedestrian street, hotel condo, condo, stacked townhouse, and retirement home. 5 minutes by driving and 20 minutes by walking could be arriving at the downtown of Niagara Falls. It is a natural, smart, and healthy community. Right now, it is in the process of planning.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
