There are always interesting projects to work on thanks to H+K’s diverse base of influential clients. This role can be based in Ottawa or Toronto and will be a mix of in-office and remote work.
**As a Data Analyst with the Data + Analytics team you will be responsible for**:
- Survey data processing, analysis, and reporting
- Running and building R scripts to process survey data.
- Maintaining and building out R code in interactive reports and dashboards.
- Working with the team on advanced analysis techniques (e.g., cluster analysis, factor analysis, text analysis, regression).
- Data visualization in reports (Displayr, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Survey programing and sampling methodology
- Assist with survey programming.
- Help design and implement sampling and weighting schemes.
**Technical Experience & Skills**
- R programming - beginner to intermediate - (script writing, data wrangling, analysis, experience with tidyverse packages).
- Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint (PowerBI or similar dashboarding tool would be an asset).
- Statistics, quantitative data analysis, working with APIs, production of reports using PowerPoint charts or similar (qualitative data analysis and report writing are assets).
- Some experience communicating to non-technical audiences (oral and written).
**Soft Skills**
- Intellectually curious.
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Energetic self-starter with a willingness to learn.
**Other**
One to two years’ experience market research or public opinion research or survey research or measurement, or a related field. Some of this experience can come from post-secondary programs.
