**QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY**:

- Current BCLS MANDATORY
- ACLS, Critical Care Certification, Fetal Heart Surveillance, Neo-Natal Resuscitation Certification is as asset

**BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Evaluate and monitor the patient’s progress
- Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
- Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members
- Begin treatment and monitor doses
- If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctors
- If ICU position
- care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit
- Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient
- Maintain patient records
- Create and implement effective care plans
- Responsible for maintaining care standards in the applicable department
- Able to assess patients quickly, prioritize, and assist in minor procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests
- Conduct follow up visits and patient treatment
- Communicate with doctors and patients to keep everyone updated on test results and treatment recommendations
- Monitoring patient recovery and care
- Assist in the care of traumas, cardiac arrests, strokes, and other triage situations
- Demonstration of sound decision-making in emergency scenarios based on patient conditions such as vital signs, patient presentation, and assessments

**Requirements**:

- **Active RPN/LPN registration within the province of Manitoba (preferred). Will consider serious applicants from other provinces**:

- **1 Year Minimum experience in Acute care, ED, Med-surg, labour/delivery, ICU**:

- Vulnerable Sector Check (within 1 year)
- RNs must have at least one year experience working in an Emergency Department
- Current ACLS certification
- Completion of a Critical Care Course for RNs/LPNs
- Completion of the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale course (CTAS)CPR/First Aid
- Complete Immunization including Hepatitis-B
- TB test (Negative report within 1 year)
- N95 mask fit
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccine
- Minimum 1 year experience in Emergency Department experience for LPN/RN

- 6 months contract minimum

**Wage: $35-$40/HR**
