Welcome to the country On April 1st, 1993, Taste of Country opened. Then a modest store featuring mostly frozen foods in a 1500 square foot store employing just two full time staff. The original business was a runaway success and customers made it their go-to destination for frozen foods.

By August 1994 the store increased its area to 3000 square feet with ten employees, and expanded its product line to include unique country gifts.

Over the next 3 years Taste of Country continued to enhance the quality, quantity and selection of its products. Customers greatly appreciated the charm and unique combination of country gifts and specialty foods.

Fast forward to late 2020 and Taste of Country expands with a second store, complete with an LCBO / Beer outlet, located in Bloomfield, Ontario.

Job Summary

Duties
- Restock merchandise on the sales floor according to company standards
- Ensure shelves are organized and neatly displayed
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the management team
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
- Operate an electric pumpjack to move and stack products when necessary
- Receive product and put away in proper warehousing locations
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and locating products
- Perform cashiering duties as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Smart Serve Certificate mandatory
- Prior experience in retail sales is preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to clean and maintain the work area to uphold cleanliness standards
- Organizational skills to manage inventory efficiently
- Cashiering experience is beneficial
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to sell products efficiently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 36 per week
