**Swimming Instructor**
We are looking for Swimming Instructors to join our team at Artquaswim. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment for children ages 3-15, from levels Preschool 1 through Swimmer 6. We seek instructors who are well-trained in swimming techniques, passionate about teaching, and enthusiastic about using innovative approaches to connect with and inspire young swimmers. Your responsibilities will include creating lesson plans/report cards, fostering a love for swimming, and helping students build confidence and resilience in the water.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Teach proper swim techniques and essential water safety skills to children ages 3-15, from Preschool 1 through Swimmer Level 6.
2. Develop lesson plans for each class that enable children to build skills and meet the requirements of their Swimmer Levels. Communicate your lesson plans with the head coach, incorporate their feedback, and follow any additional instructions to ensure alignment with the overall program.
3. Follow feedback from the Head Coach during lessons to ensure alignment with program standards.
4. Assess students in the water to evaluate their skill level and track their progress throughout the program.
5. Provide constructive feedback to swimmers to support improvement in their techniques and boost their confidence.
6. Ensure a safe and positive learning environment by following pool safety rules and maintaining a clean, organized pool area.
7. Communicate regularly and cooperate with the Artquaswim team and head coach to align on goals and student progress.
8. Use creative drills, games, and engaging activities to inspire a love for swimming and keep students motivated.
9. Write seasonal report cards to communicate each student’s progress to parents or guardians.
10. Be prepared to respond to emergencies, holding current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid.
**Qualifications**:
- Current Swimming Instructor Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA, or Lifesaving Society) is required.
- Valid Standard First Aid certificate required
- Valid CPR level C and & AED certificate required
- National Lifeguard (NL pool) Certification required
- Prior experience working with children, particularly in a teaching, is preferred.
- Proficiency in English is required
- Thorough understanding of proper swim techniques, water safety practices, and swimmer level requirements.
- Friendly, patient, and positive attitude, with a passion for teaching and motivating young swimmers.
- Ability to develop structured lesson plans that help children meet the requirements of each Swimmer Level.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in the water, including demonstrations and supporting young swimmers as needed.
- Capacity to adapt lessons to engage students and incorporate fun, innovative activities that make learning enjoyable.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check as required for working with children.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
