**(1) Position Available**:
**Part-Time: Monday & Tuesday (2 days only) from 11:30am to 8:00pm**

**About the Role**

Caregiving Services for JC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to provide care in a residents’ home. The Caregiver is responsible for assisting resident with daily living activities and providing emotional and psychological support, while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

**About the patient**:
79 year old elderly lady of Fijian-descent with Alzheimer’s disease. She is a very friendly, talkative and sweet person. She likes socializing. She needs assistance with most things.

However, she can be stubborn and blunt at times so we require someone that has "tough skin" who is capable to handle that along with the constant repetition as she asks the same question.

**MUST BE CAPABLE OF LIFTING**

**Female care aid preferred as she feels more comfortable.**

**Required Skills**:
**Proven experience as a caregiver**
- Passion for working with seniors
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Cool-tempered and friendly
- Team player
- Dependable
- Regular attendance at work
- High school diploma or equivalent, certificate is a plus

**Responsibilities**
**Provide basic care to resident: bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.**
- Assist residents with personal care items (medication, peri-care, etc.)
- Administer medications according to procedure while tracking medication levels.
- Assist residents with ambulation.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, eating, etc.
- Provide emotional and psychological support
- Entertaining patient (conversing, watching TV, going through photo albums, reading a book to her, watching YouTube videos of animals or babies).
- Report any unusual incidents, such as incidents that occur in the home or during the day as well as any unusual signs or symptoms.
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Maintain a safe and healthy home for resident
- Entertaining patient (conversing, watching TV, going through photo albums, reading a book to her, watching YouTube videos of animals or babies)

**Mandatory Job Requirements**
- Hindi-Speaking mandatory.
- Previous work experience as a Care-Aid.
- Valid criminal background check
- Valid references.
- Someone that takes initiative (doesn't need to be told/directed or instructed to do something).
- Punctual

- Attentive
- Reliable
- Social
- Trustworthy
- Kind hearted/caring/soft-spoken individual
