**LANDSCAPE STONEMASON**

Reports to: Project Manager

**Summary**:
As a Landscape Stonemason, you will play a crucial role in designing, constructing, and enhancing outdoor spaces using various stone materials. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the creation of beautiful and functional landscapes for our clients.

**Core Capabilities**:

- Strong competency in landscape stone masonry including but not limited to: Retaining walls both natural stone and precast concrete. Patios, both natural stone and precast concrete.
- Knowledge of various types of stone and installation methods.
- Proficiency with stone masonry tools including quick cut saws, trowels, jointing tools, etc.
- Customer and quality focus.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Able to work in a team.

**Job Duties**:

- Construct and install a variety of stone pathways, walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other landscape features.
- Collaborate with landscape designers, architects, and other professionals to ensure the masonry work aligns with the overall project vision.
- Use hand and power tools to shape, cut, and finish stones according to design specifications.
- Lay stones using mortar or dry-stack techniques, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Incorporate stone elements with other landscaping materials, such as plants and water features.
- Install drainage systems to prevent water accumulation and ensure proper runoff.
- Repair and maintain existing stone structures and features.
- Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Comply with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations.
- Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas.
- Employee training.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Stonemason, specifically in landscape construction.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Proficient in using stone masonry tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret landscape designs and implement them effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create visually appealing stone arrangements.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy stones and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures and precautions in stone masonry and landscaping.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Time management skills.
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work.
- Speak, read and write English.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
