**On-site work schedule**: 8_:45AM - 6:00PM from Monday
- Friday_ (flexibility is required as this role will be the main point of contact for out-of-office after-hour issues) _Occasional overtime, evenings and/or weekends as required._

The **IT Manager** is a pivotal role in Playground’s IT department, serving as a strategic conduit between the IT Director and our dedicated Help Desk, IT Security, and Endpoint Manager teams. This individual will not only act as a liaison, ensuring the seamless flow of communication and information, but will also offer consistent support to the IT Director in terms of project tracking, documentation, and report generation. The IT Manager will contribute to our commitment to operational excellence by ensuring all follow-ups are completed thoroughly and appropriately documented, and by enhancing transparency with comprehensive progress updates and in-depth post-mortem reports.

In this role, the IT Manager will be tasked with the optimization of team performance, facilitating effective collaboration across the various IT teams, and driving initiatives that continuously improve our information technology infrastructure. Key responsibilities will include managing IT resources, defining and implementing IT policies and procedures, and ensuring the security of the Playground's information systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- On-call main point of contact for issues outside of regular office hours to direct the correct resources to resolve the issue (on a rotational basis)
- Time management of IT Team Members (weekly schedules and time clock verification)
- Follow up on tasks of team members to ensure completion in a professional and timely manner
- Make sure all procedures are being followed
- Respond and action daily reports (verify that daily report summaries are detailed and complete)
- Oversee the IT Ticketing system - ensure tickets are answered and resolved within the required timeframe and include all relevant information
- Asset management (manage orders, verify deliveries and oversee inventory)
- Provide progress reports on various projects to IT Director
- Consult with responsible IT parties and document all post-mortem reports
- Ensure Knowledge Base is being updated and reflect any changes to systems and/or processes (including training videos)
- Communicate key project progress indicators to appropriate internal entities and IT Director
- Promote ongoing communication within the team and ensure that the team dynamic is maintained
- Working with the IT Director on plan tasks, resource requirements, and resource allocation, to ensure projects are completed within budget guidelines and maintaining best practices
- Recognize recurring IT challenges and proactively identify areas for improvement with a focus on risk management

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience working in IT operations.
- Proven experience in managing teams, including personnel development and performance management.
- Superior management and leadership qualities.
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
- Experience with budgeting and resource allocation, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ability to strategically prioritize needs, manage resources, and implement action plans.
- Excellent planning and organization ability.
- Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex IT concepts to individuals without a technical background, including stakeholders, team members, and users.
- At ease working with technical staff and allocating the necessary resources.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and voip phone systems.
- Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments.
- Ability to keep up with latest developments in the field and upgrade IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and observation skills.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and resolve escalated user issues.
