**Job Summary**:
The Transportation Services Division is committed to building and maintaining a resilient transportation network so that people connect with the places, activities, and communities they value in the City of Toronto. The Workforce Development and Planning Team supports this mission by leading divisional workforce projects and initiatives related to reconciliation, equity and diversity, recruitment, health and safety, culture, and engagement as well as learning and development.

The Project Manager, focusing on Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI), is an integral member of the Workforce Development & Planning team. Reporting to the unit Manager, the Project Manager leads the division’s REDI workforce programming, coordinates the tracking of Transportation Services REDI strategic commitments, and provides guidance to people leaders in support of the division’s commitment to reconciliation, equity, diversity, and a culture of inclusion.

Working collaboratively with a team of experienced Human Resources professionals, the Project Manager leads the embedding of reconciliation and equity not only into workforce projects but divisional operations and culture.

This role provides an opportunity for the successful incumbent to exercise their ability to strategically facilitate the immersion of REDI in a complex, unionized City division. Incumbents from diverse backgrounds including Indigenous, Black, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ or other equity deserving groups are encouraged to apply.

**Major Responsibilities**:
The primary functions associated with this position includes, but are not limited to the following:
Project Management-
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.- Provides input into and administers assigned budget, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.- Establishes and continuously re-assesses and evaluates detailed project work plans and deliverables. Provides ongoing strategic direction to formulate and execute projects that reflect and advance divisional reconciliation and equity goals.- Develops Terms of Reference, scope of work, specifications and materials for projects and consultant requirements for all purchasing call documents including RFQ, RFP, REOI, and RFI. Acts as liaison between Purchasing & Materials Management Division (PMMD) and program staff, undertaking briefings, evaluation of proposals, and recommendation of the selection of consultants for assigned projects, execution of legal agreements and contracts and ongoing contract management with selected vendors.- Ensures projects are managed within assigned timelines undertaking all necessary scheduling control during all phases of the project.- Ensures compliance with federal and provincial legislation related to accessibility, diversity, inclusion, equity, and human rights.

Relationship Building and Engagement- Fosters internal teamwork and promotes inter-divisional coordination of efforts and efficiencies.- Provides ongoing jurisdictional research and continuously builds local, national and international connections to establish best practices and develop new policies, engagement goals, and systems of accountability and engagement related to reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion.- Leads stakeholder engagement with staff of other City divisions, agencies, boards, commissions, community groups, and other levels of governments on projects and policies.-
- Attends REDI events, symposiums, conferences, and act as a spokesperson for the section.- Works equitably with persons of all races, nationalities, cultures, ages, abilities, genders, creeds, genders, and sexual orientation and enabling them to maximize their potential and contributions.

Communication and Reporting- Oversees the tracking of divisional workforce equity strategies and practices to enable an equitable workplace, including targeted strategies for equity-deserving communities.- Builds targeted project communication plans and creates outputs to help promote various REDI initiatives.- Develops, updates, and maintains detailed schedules using current industry standard software effectively to compl
