Quality Control Technician

Beretta Farms Ltd. is looking for the right individual to join our Quality Control team at our Beef/Bison processing facility in Lacombe, AB
**Position Summary**:
Our Quality Control Technicians are responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing of products, recording and analyzing of results gathered during product development and production. This position will be responsible for product specification control with a focus on the actions that prevent quality issues.
**Responsibilities**:
- Performing internal quality audits.
- Carry out investigation procedures
- Onsite monitoring and verification of all Plant Procedures (PP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Critical Control Point (CCP) and SQF food safety program.
- Develop, review, update and validate SQF and other food safety programs.
- Ensures compliance to audits in SQF and HACCP plans.
- Make corrective actions and root cause analysis in any deviations and preventative measures to eliminate or prevent further hazards and damages.
- Perform mock recall, simulation, non-compliance reports, corrective actions and customer complaints
- Maintain approved product lists, SDS documents, certifications and letter of guarantees.
- Validation and verification of SQF and HACCP programs.
- Validate changes to food safety plans.
