**Warehouse Hand**

**Job brief**

In this role you will support the Fleet and Asset Supervisor in the coordination of the warehousing and distribution of construction tools, equipment, and consumables. You will assist in overseeing the efficient receipt and storage of a wide variety of construction related assets. You will ensure all tools and equipment issued to job sites are in good working order.

**Duties**
- Keep the warehouse and yard area orderly, tidy, accessible and uncluttered.
- Count, sort, weigh, and unpack materials.
- Accurate management of company inventory using company software
- Tracking, developing and maintaining processes for ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Receive/ship material in accordance with Purchase Orders and packing slips.
- Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization of shop and company yard, including sea containers.
- Coordinate shipments with 3rd party delivery companies.
- Ensure delivery deadlines and quality objectives are met
- Execute the unloading/loading various materials/equipment either by hand or with the use of machinery.
- Segment various work zones and eliminate clutter. Utilization of storage boxes, various bins and containers too keep warehouse organized and efficient.
- Maintain all items in the warehouse and shop yard; clearly identify and keep all assets in respective designated locations.
- Shipping and receiving company material, equipment, tools, PPE and other construction related assets.
- Ensuring a well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies.
- Use of company vehicles to complete shipments safely and effectively. Delivery of tools and equipment to various jobsites.

**Required Experience**
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Warehouse Coordinator.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases including Microsoft Office and related programs.
- Applicant must have Forklift Certification (ALL TERRAIN FORKLIFT CLASS 7) and be able to safely and effectively operate a reach truck, counter balance lift and 10,000 lb Telehandler.
- Applicants must have the ability to perform minor repairs to equipment and determine if 3rd part repairs are required.
- Applicant must have valid G level driver’s license.

**Skills**
- Excellent communication skills; written and oral
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Decisiveness, initiative, attention to detail, and high accuracy is required.
- Analytical ability as well as organizing and planning skills to effectively manage the flow of stock.
