**JOB TITLE: PURCHASING LEAD**
**PERMANENT, FULL-TIME ROLE WITH BUSHEL PLUS LTD.**

**LOCATION: BRANDON MB, CANADA**
**REPORTING TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS**
**START DATE: JUNE 2023**

**THE ROLE**:
This position requires a detail orientated, responsible and self-starting individual to manage company wide purchasing and support logistics/shipping for Bushel Plus Ltd. In our fast-paced environment it is expected for this position to meet deadlines and contribute to a positive, safe, high-quality culture. Decision-making and problem
- solving skills are required.

The Purchasing Lead needs to be a proactive problem solver with a focus on finding solutions, creating structure for growth and ensuring strong communication between all departments within Bushel Plus. This position will report directly to Director of Operations.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**70% Purchasing for Bushel Plus**
- Manage the day to day process for the timely and accurate supply planning, purchasing and delivery of products to meet forecast
- Maintain and build tracking for purchase orders and payment reporting
- Actively participate in Sales forecasting and planning by providing analysis on material supply constraints and overall inventory performance
- Continuously monitor and proactively balance supply and demand, setting and monitoring inventory policy, proactively identifying constraints and challenges and develop solutions to mitigate impacts, while keeping internal teams clearly informed of developments
- Partnering with R&D and Director of Operations on projects to explore backup vendors and alternate purchase markets
- Control manufacturing costs through negotiation with vendors as well as ensuring efficient control of products
- Work closely with Development and Quality Control departments for product approval/manufacturing changes

**20% Manufacturing Vendor Relations**
- Ensure collaborative long term strategic relationships with manufacturing vendors
- Evaluate and control product process flow to ensure vendors and suppliers comply with the terms and conditions of their contracts
- In person visiting of vendors to evaluate quality and manufacturing process as needed
- Manage and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers regarding shipping discrepancies, invoices, claims, and quality issues; promote a customer-focused and service-oriented approach in providing services to external and internal customers
- Support and assist with warranty claims/warranty SOP processes

**10% Shipping Support**
- Partner with Logistics Supervisor to support with shipping, specifically around international logistics

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Build and maintain positive customer/dealer and vendor relationships
- Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks in order of priority
- Requires a strong decision maker, problem solver and forward thinker
- Requires strong research, analysis and planning skills
- Ensure open lines of communication with leadership team
- Ability to provide timely feedback around challenges/needs to leadership team
- Ability to be resilient, assertive, optimistic and open to change
- Solution focused approach to challenges and interpersonal matters
- Maintain certificate of dangerous goods shipping (needed for small batteries)
- Stay current with international shipping guidelines for receiving and shipping
- Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a great team
- Good moral character
- Perform general office administration support as assigned
- Work experience with Quick Books, Salesforce
- Support with SOP creation
- Strong negotiating skills
- Available to work extended hours in busy season
- Sitting for long period of times, lifting and packaging parcels/product as required
- Ability to lift and handle objects/products in the 40-pound range
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

**Salary**: $37,431.48-$60,000.00 per year
