**Job description**

**AEMCO LTD**. is a Paving & Infrastructure Company in Milton, Ontario that is looking for a hardworking and punctual AZ/DZ driver to join our team and contribute by floating/hauling materials and equipment to and from job sites while also helping out on the crew (paving process, etc.)

We offer a competitive compensation package from $28.00-$35.00 an hour based on experience in the field. This position is full-time Monday-Friday with 8-12 hours per day and some weekends.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Valid D(Z)/A(Z) Drivers License (1 YEAR MINIMUM of consecutive experience)
- A minimum of three years of heavy commercial insurance experience and provide a letter of insurance experience
- CVOR & Drivers Abstract required
- Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, and have an acceptable driving record
- Understanding of CVOR rules and Regulations
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Have good written & communication skills

**Duties**:

- Hauling/Floating equipment and materials to and from job sites
- Secure all loads, materials, and equipment
- Loading and unloading asphalt, gravel and other materials
- Preventative maintenance on equipment
- Machine Rolling
- Skid Steer loading
- Base Preparation and tamping
- Rough and fine grading
- Operating AEMCO vehicle in accordance with laws & regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment, both interior and exterior
- Perform mandatory daily pre-trips and post-trips inspections in accordance with current laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate log of hours worked in compliance with current laws and regulations
- Follow a schedule for pick-up and deliveries according to priority
- Verify hauling material and weight
- Ability to take direction and communicate verbally
- Communicate with foreman or other equipment operators to ensure delivery of materials are according to job specifications
- Constantly monitor, service, and document the equipment logs and inspection as per the preventative maintenance and standard requirements
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and carry out assignments to completion
- Perform other related duties as required
