Job Description - Branch Office Administrator

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY**

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent is responsible for managing the daily activities and office services of the branch including, order desk, accounting functions, etc.

**DIRECT REPORTS**

This position has 1 - 5 direct reports depending on the size of the branch. Direct reports include administrative office team members and indirect when supporting warehouse operations covering manager responsibilities

**SPECIFIC DUTIES**

**Business/Branch Administrative Activities**:

- Supervise and perform general office functions such as Accounts Payable, Credit & Collections, inventory replenishment, order entry, customer service, etc.
- Responsible for helping Branch Manager in the hiring, training and development of office staff
- Responsible for Health & Safety functions within the branch i.e. ensure branch activities are compliant with all applicable Health & Safety legislation, conduct monthly workplace inspections and forward paperwork to Head Office, complete accident investigations, WCB paperwork, ensure warehouse staff are using proper lifting techniques/loading techniques as set out by the Health & Safety Dept., etc.
- Responsible for conducting inventory cycle counts as well as total year-end inventory
- Responsible for inventory variances
- Follow pre-prescribed Branch Operational procedures as set out by the Company.
- Other duties as assigned

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- University or College degree in Business Administration or similar
- Industry related experience an asset
- 1 - 3 years previous experience within an Office Administrative role
- Cash Management
- Proven leadership skills
- Creative, flexible and innovative team player who can motivate his/her people
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
