LOOKING FOR A Veterinarian Assistant/Receptionist/Exam Room Assistant. Part-time, possible potential for Full-time.- We are looking for a compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist/Exam Room Assistant to support our veterinarian in providing excellent care to our patients. We are a busy small multi doctor practice looking to expand our hours.-
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Care for animals by, feeding, watering, and walking for bathroom breaks
- Assist in holding and restraining animals during exams and surgical procedures
- Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and tools
- Ensure all cages and kennels are clean
- Perform administrative duties such as updating files and processing payments
- Ensure exam and operating rooms are stocked and sterilized
- Assist doctor in exam rooms
- Record keeping
- Answering phones
- Filling prescriptions
- Requirements and Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE**
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently- Basic understanding of animal behavior and health care- Passion for working with animals and their owners- Attention to detail in order to maintain accurate patient records- Physical ability to restrain larger pets when necessary- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays- Competitive Wages- Potential for extended medical benefits- Staff discounts**Hiring Manager** Andersen, Anita
