**Job description**

**Direct Support Professional
- Enhanced Supported Independent Living**

Enhanced Supported Independent Living (ESIL) provides daily supports to adults who experience disability and wish to transition to a more independent lifestyle living in their own apartment. ESIL Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide coaching for life skill development, working along individuals supported to complete tasks of daily living together, instilling the skills and knowledge needed to thrive. The ESIL DSP functions as a mentor, advocate, coach, and cheerleader, empowering individuals to engage in their community and achieve their preferred lifestyle. All training provided. Competitive wages and benefits.
- **16 hours per week, working 9am-5pm every Saturday and Sunday.**
- **32 hours per week, working Tuesday-Friday, 12pm to 8pm.**

Direct Support Professional employees build communities that value the contributions of people who experience developmental disabilities. They assist with activities of daily living, working collaboratively with families, advocates, friends, and community partners in order to promote full citizenship and enhance relationships. **Requirements**:

- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
- **Preferred**:_
- 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.81 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
