Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are currently searching for a Grounds Person to join our team in Dartmouth, NS. This position includes landscaping, snow removal and other property specific duties.

**What you will do**:

- Assist with landscaping - weeding, pruning and trimming trees and plants
- Cut grass, watering lawns/gardens
- Remove litter and garbage around the property
- Lay sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees
- Snow removal during winter months (plowing snow, salting/shoveling steps by hand and on the truck)
- Pressure washing of decks, walkways and parking garages
- Perform minor asphalt repairs
- Operate zero turn mowers, tractors and navigate trailers
- Shared on-call duties throughout the year

**Who you are**:

- 2-3 years’ experience in similar role
- Experience with snow removal, operating a plow truck
- Ability to work as a team, and also under mínimal supervision
- Effective, proven skills and experience
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible to work various hours and on-call duties
- Must have clean driver’s abstract and valid NS driver’s license
- Ability to do equipment repairs would be an asset
