**Job Details**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Present a positive company image at all times
- Perform detailed and diligent patrols
- Assess disturbances
- Removal/Preventing of tents or structures around the property
- Working closely with London Police Service/Foot Patrol for arrests and investigations
- Observe and report daily activities and irregularities to appropriate personnel
- Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed
- Maintain surveillance of the surrounding area and report suspicious activity
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, in a polite, yet firm, manner
- Provide assistance to clients and visitors when required
- Must be familiar with emergency response policies and respond to emergency calls accordingly
- Inspection of corridors and passageways to ensure they are kept secure and clear of any obstructions
- Parking facility inspection for unauthorized parking or solicitation, accidents, general illumination, safe walkways, entrances, etc.
- Deal with potentially violent or disruptive behaviour in an orderly manner
- Properly access and control entry points of a building
- Be vigilant in emergency responses

**Qualifications**:

- A valid Ontario Security Guard license
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Assessment and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and training in emergency response
- Good judgement and decision-making ability
- Available to work flexible hours
- Have a clear criminal background and driving record
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Security Experience is an ASSET
- Relatable experience and/or education will also be considered
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
- Mental Health First Aid
- De-escalation experience or training
- A valid driver's license

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Security Guard Licence (required)
