Gusto Grande is a small business in Lindsay, ON. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to Gusto Grande is looking for experienced Server to join our new dynamic team in a completely renovated restaurant in the heart of downtown Lindsay (The Old Grand Hotel) We are a casual-fine dining, Italian inspired restaurant Everything is scratch made in house and we use as much local ingredients as possible, Our wine is completely consignment, we offer hand curated cocktails behind a state of the art bar and are looking for great servers that want to further their careers in the food service industry.

Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you.

Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

What we are looking for:

- Previous hotel experience in a fine dining property
- Strong service orientation with demonstrated knowledge of all types of formal dining room service
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with the public, using tact and discretion
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond with a sense of urgency when required
- Smart Serve
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/barstaff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- serving: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)

Work Location: In person
