**SUMMARY**

**About the Role - Concierge**

A hotel concierge is the first point of contact for guests and customers entering a hotel. They act as the face of the hotel or brand; hence, professionalism and a friendly, approachable disposition are important to make a guest feel welcome.

**Some of the responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for greeting and welcoming guests
- Act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements
- Understand customers’ needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel.
- Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises, nearby venues, and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations.
- Arrange events, excursions, transportation etc., upon request from hotel residents.
- Answer the phone and make reservations, take and distribute messages or mail and redirect calls.
- Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution
- Provide maps and directions.
- Assist in on-site events such as weddings or corporate meetings.
- Recommend local medical or dental assistance.
- Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments.
- Manage mail, luggage, deliveries, and messages for guests.
- Develop and expand a network of contacts within the community.
- Arrange secretarial and other office services.
- Ensure orderliness and safety guidelines around the lobby and front door areas.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experiences as a Concierge required
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Outstanding guest services skills, sophisticated verbal & written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
