**Shared Settlement & Recruitment Coordinator**
**(POSTING CS2023-006)
**MANDATE**:
As the Shared Coordinator in partnership with Renfrew County, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing
recruitment strategies that attract newcomers to our region. You will collaborate with local businesses to understand their
staffing needs and identify job opportunities that align with the skills and aspirations of newcomers. Additionally, you will provide
essential information and support to newcomers, aiding their seamless integration into the community and helping them access
vital services.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
A diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Resources or relevant field, and/or equivalent work experience. Must have
strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with newcomers, businesses, and stakeholders. An
understanding of recruitment strategies and workforce development, with a passion for promoting diversity and inclusivity.
Have familiarity with settlement services and the challenges newcomers may face during integration. Proficiency in designing
and delivering training sessions, particularly in the context of DEI and newcomer integration. The ability to collaborate and work
efficiently in a cross-county and cross-functional environment. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability
to manage multiple tasks simultaneously would be considered an asset. Willingness to frequently travel to various locations
within the geographic area of Lanark and Renfrew Counties.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop innovative and effective recruitment strategies to attract newcomers to Lanark and Renfrew counties, enhancing the

cultural diversity of our workforce.
- Engage with businesses in both counties to comprehend their staffing requirements and identify job opportunities that match

the skill sets of newcomers.
- Offer comprehensive information and support to newcomers, aiding them in their transition to the community and facilitating

their access to essential services.
- Design and deliver basic training sessions for economic development stakeholders on settlement services and best practices

for working effectively with newcomers.
- Support the creation of on-demand training and resources related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), including toolkits

and local case study materials.
- Provide valuable insights for the development of a Workforce Attraction Marketing Plan, in collaboration with an external

consultant.
- Prepare accurate and timely project reports as required for provincial funding, ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines

and demonstrating the project's progress, impact, and outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the project's objectives.

This position is paid $32.25 per hour. 35 hours per week. (Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
