As this role requires skills to profile and analyze data for projects, strong communication and SQL skills are particularly important for the role.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Lead business requirements gathering and documentation by working with stakeholders across the organization.
- Facilitate discussions with business partners in Merchandising, Pharmacy, Operations, and Finance.
- Prioritize and translate requirements to technical requirements for the Data Warehouse team.
- Manage, track, and report progress on BIDW requests and initiatives to senior management.
- Develop front-end reports and ad hoc queries to support business requirements.
- Prepare and lead monthly Enterprise reporting Steering committee update meetings.
- Define reporting or data requirements, data mappings, and format for reporting or data outputs.
- Triage daily issues and provide first-line root cause analysis and resolution.
- Support testing of BIDW deliverables based on business requirements.
- Run ad hoc queries and data extracts to support business needs.
- Document existing and new Microstrategy, data warehouse, and ETL processes and procedures.
- Perform BIDW intake and status tracking, including documentation, facilitation of team meetings, and business updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Canada Ltd.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- Strong understanding of business process documentation and notations such as BPML.
- 5-10 years of experience as a business analyst gathering business requirements and translating them to technical requirements.
- 5-10 years of experience in data warehousing and business intelligence, including data modeling, SQL, MicroStrategy or equivalent, and Informatica or equivalent.
- Experience in presentation and executive review document preparation.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, ETL basics, and development life cycle.
- Knowledge of SQL tuning, indexing, external tables, and loading of data with SQL Loader/Data Pump.
- Experience in writing reports/data extracts for large amounts of data.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Team player and self-starter/motivated.
- Ability to work and coordinate with offshore developers.
- Experience in Inventory/Merchandise Systems Implementation preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
