Warehouseman

Varsteel, a privately owned full-line steel distributor with branches across Western Canada and the

United States, specializes in the distribution and processing of carbon and alloy steel products. We

currently have exciting opportunities for full-time, permanent Warehouseman positions at our Delta

branch.

Primary Responsibilities: The Warehouseman's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited

to:
Pulling, assembling, loading, and unloading various steel products for customer orders.

Ensuring trailers are loaded in compliance with D.O.T. Load Securement Regulations for

secure material transport.

Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy and product quality.

Consistent final inspection of all outgoing materials.

Accurately recording information related to orders and inventory.

Unloading incoming materials.

Reporting any equipment requiring maintenance or repair.

Safely operating all applicable equipment.

Maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Participating in all health and safety training.

Performing any other assigned duties as required.

Skill Requirements:
Experience with cranes, wood saws, chop saws, torches, and various hand tools is not

necessary but considered an asset.

Participation in all health and safety training required by Varsteel.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Mechanical aptitude is essential.

Salary: $25.00-$31.00 per hour

$500.00 signing bonus to be received upon the completion of probation
