Registered Early Childhood Educator or equivalent (Child and Youth Worker or OCT Member) required for a Team Lead Position at Holy Name CES (King City, ON).

**Starting Pay**: $21.07 - $24.79/hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hr), Team Lead Premium Pay, and Split Shift Premium ($2.00/hr).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with the school age team, the Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program. The Team Lead serves as a source of information to parents, community partners, and teammates through knowledge and understanding of internal policies and procedures, government child care regulations, and dedication to early learning and development. Through professional conduct and respectful leadership, the Team Lead acts as a model and support to teammates, supply staff, volunteers, and students. The Team Lead shows support of the supervisor’s decisions and consistently advises the supervisor of information pertaining to the program.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE); or approved equivalency, from a recognized college or university.
- A recent Vulnerable Sector Check
- Health assessment and record of immunization, as outlined by legislation.
- Up-to-date registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (if applicable).
- Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and standard first aid
- Excellent organizational, and leadership skills; able to manage time effectively to meet the demands of the centre.
- Experience with inquiry/play based program design and implementation, and with the use of pedagogical documentation.
- Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Uses initiative; ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a professional disposition.
- Have the physical and emotional stamina to effectively supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft 365, Intranet, Dayforce, and Storypark.
