**REMCAN is currently seeking a qualified Signal and Communication Construction Foreperson, based in Ontario, for our 2024 maintenance and construction season.**

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time Seasonal
**JOB DUTIES**:
As an S&C Maintainer, you will work as part of a team performing moderate to heavy physical labour installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing railroad signaling and communications equipment as well as responding to emergencies and track outages.
S&C Maintainers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all REMCAN and customer safety policies and procedures. In this position, you are required to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the railway industry and signal operations.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Railway Construction atmosphere
- Experience operating heavy equipment on-and-off track (considered an asset)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to produce a driver’s abstract
- Knowledge of and recent qualification in Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR)
- Must pass e-Rail safe Canada certification
- Able to pass pre-employment medical which includes drug screening
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams
- Able to work all types of shifts as required
- Able to work in various weather conditions all year round
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote work locations as required
- Maintain REMCAN safety guidelines & policies at all times
