**Staff Scientist**

**Position Description**

Reporting to the Director of R&D Operations, the successful applicant will work to prepare, characterize, and test lipid nanoparticle formulations. They will collaborate with others on the team to carry out experiments to support chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) testing and development of the pre-clinical pipeline.

**Responsibilities**
- Production, characterization, and testing of lipid nanoparticles
- Design and carry out experiments independently, troubleshooting problems that may arise
- Document, report, and present experimental results for internal review
- Contribute to the development of new assays and protocols
- Other duties, as required

**Qualifications**
- PhD in a relevant chemical or biochemical field and 2-5 years experience
- Experience with lipid nanoparticle production, tangential flow filtration
- Experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, NMR, etc.
- Experience with molecular biology and/or experience in lipid synthesis is an asset
- Experience with GDP and GLP is an asset
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical analysis software (e.g. R, SPSS, Prism)
- Proven attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate as an effective team player while working independently and within timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication

**Salary**: From $95,000.00 per year
