Reporting to the Financial Administrator and operating with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy, the Building and Property Manager is responsible to provide leadership to the overall provision of property maintenance and operations of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, St. Mary’s Glebe, Catholic Diocesan Centre, Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Olivet Cemetery and Gate of Heaven Cemetery, coordinate all property activities within the diocese and support parish building maintenance, planning and project management.

You have a strong understanding of buildings, laws and regulations and different types of properties. You have a reputation for adding value to all that you do. - Grade 12 plus degree or diploma or the equivalent of education, training and experience
- Minimum 5 years directly related experience, including a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Project management experience
- Experience working with contracts, negotiating with vendors
- Knowledge of building operation and maintenance requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize and work well in a high-pressure, multi-task environment with the ability to shift smoothly between and among different initiatives
- Above average communication (verbal and written) skills
- Attention to detail; demonstrates a high level of accuracy
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
- Must meet Responsible Ministry Protocol criteria: Clear Criminal Record check

This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30AM to 4.30PM
