Youth Ministry Director

Seeking a **Part-Time Youth Director** (8-12 hrs/wk).

Emmanuel Evangelical Missionary Church (EEMC) is committed to _Loving God, Loving Each Other, and Blessing the World_. We are seeking someone to join us in discipling and reaching students.

**ESSENTIAL MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Core Role - 8 Hours/wk**_
- Lead our weekly Youth night with our volunteers, planning engaging activities and being part of teaching team and small group facilitation
- Plan and implement regular special events
- Ensure Risk management plan is being followed
- Ensure strong communication with Lead Pastor, parents, and manage Youth Instagram
- Facilitate Sunday after service Youth lunch and Deeper Life Huddle
- Reach out to High School students during their lunch using our parking lot and Youth House
- Connect with students and help disciple them in the Way of Jesus

**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience:

- Professional experience demonstrating reliability, character, and competence
- Church ministry volunteer experience in a relevant capacity
- High School diploma
- Legal Standing or Clearances: a clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- Faith: the Youth Director must possess a sincere and enduring faith that aligns with the Statement of Faith and Practice of The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada.
- A Christian Lifestyle: the Youth Director must have a lifestyle consistent with biblical Christianity, actively pursuing being filled with the Spirit and manifesting the fruit of the Holy Spirit (see Gal 5:22-23), and actively abstaining from sinful behaviour (ex. Gal 5:19-21).

**PERSONAL SKILLS**:

- Competency: An understanding of youth ministry and discipleship. Skilled in planning ministry programming and events, basic administration, scheduling, written and verbal communication. Computer and social media skills.
- Consensus: Shares EEMC’s doctrinal views and convictions and vision of ministry.
- Chemistry: Works well in a team setting, collaborating well with others.
- Compassion: Value and care for people more than tasks, programs, and facilities.
- Creativity: Willing to explore and try new ways to connect with and reach students.
- Constancy: Model reliability, follow-through, endurance, patience and perseverance. Manage stressful situations while maintaining good attitude and flexibility.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
