Recreation & Active Well-being includes facilities, programming, and services that promote emotional, mental, physical, social and overall wellbeing through the participation in active living. Recreation also offers experiential experiences for students through our many leadership opportunities. **Responsibilities**:
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Intramural Sports Convener position serves as part of a student leadership team that is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive intramural sports program. The Intramural Sports Convenor is responsible for curating high quality, safe, inclusive intramural sports program while ensuring the delivery is focused on a fun-first sport experience. This role will support the University’s mission to build an equitable and thriving campus by fostering inclusivity and ensuring the games held in those spaces meet the holistic needs of the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for supervising, maintaining and the safety of all assigned Intramural sport leagues, activities, tournaments and special events.
- Responsible for administrative tasks such as inputting scores and game details and serving as the main liaison with captains and participants for all assigned Intramural sport leagues, activities, tournaments and special events.
- Responsible for scheduling regular and playoff seasons for all assigned Intramural sport leagues, activities, tournaments and special events.
- Responsible for training, developing, scheduling, supervising and evaluating all officials for all assigned Intramural sport leagues, activities, tournaments and special events.
- Responsible for updating Intramural social media on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for regular routine equipment inspections and quality assurance for all assigned Intramural sport leagues, activities, tournaments and special events.
