We are looking for an experienced and task-oriented Assistant Construction Project Manager to supervise our projects in BC. The position will need to monitor and motivate construction crews to deliver projects on time and on budget, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This position will directly report to Head of Department and remain a clear and efficient communications between management and the construction crews. This is a full-time position and travels in BC are required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Reviewing the work of the construction crew to determine whether quality standards are being observed
- Developing a plan of work for each site so each project can finish on time
- Reporting to Senior Management about the cost and progress of each project
- Managing the budget for each worksite to make sure each project is completed efficiently
- Planning the work to be done, getting the necessary personnel, and assigning the right duties to the right people
- Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion
- Ensuring timely completion of the project to build client trust while avoiding unnecessary penalties
- Procuring and allocating resources to ensure there is no shortage while avoiding any unnecessary delays caused by management decisions
- Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project
- Providing reports and logs: RFI, SI, COs, Contract logs, Procurement Lists, Schedule, Construction & Consultant Meeting Minutes.
- Assisting Head of Department with Cost Control & Forecasting.
- Assist Site Superintendent on achieving Production Schedule and Construction objectives in general.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 2 years’ experience to similar positions.
- Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation
- Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed
- Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them
- Excellence in the budgeting of financial resources
- Ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve the quality of production
- Excellence in verbal and oral communication skills

**Salary**: $60,711.58-$77,111.00 per year
