**Job Description**:
About the Role:
The QA Technician is responsible to ensure and maintain the quality of the product. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

- Perform daily pre-operational checks and on-line quality operational checks;
- Perform sensory evaluation on incoming raw materials, in-process raw materials and finished good materials;
- Collect retention samples and perform shelf-life testing on retention samples;
- Perform operational document verification and follow up on quality incidents;
- Perform sampling for chemical analysis and develop specification on incoming raw materials;
- Perform GMP audit and internal audit;
- Collect quality data on trial runs and verify BOM on new product SKUs;
- Maintain and update daily QA and plant reports; ensure accuracy and correctness of data
- Perform environmental micro and sanitation samplings;
- Perform weigh scale calibration checks and process control verifications
- Review HOLD log on a weekly basis and follow up on disposition;
- Complete corrective action reports and file organize and archive production and quality records;
- Perform other duties assigned or required by QA Manager

Important Details: The position is a full time, permanent role for the afternoon shift at our Delta, BC manufacturing facility.

About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:

- A Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in technical studies such as chemistry, food science or related fields
- Minimum one (1) year’ quality assurance experience
- Understanding of statistical analysis, precision measurement, process capability studies, chemistry, and food processes
- Ability to read and write in-depth policies, procedures and related materials
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of product process and employee privacy information
