Position Summary: To assist with the preparation and serving of food to residents in the care wing

**Duties**:

- Food storage, rotation and labeling
- The preparation of food as outlined by the FSM and dietary restrictions of the residents
- Taking meal orders for following day from each resident ensuring all dietary restrictions are met
- Plating, serving and cleanup of breakfast, lunch and dinner for all Care wing residents
- Stocking and maintaining the snack and beverage areas on each floor
- Assisting with the folding of napkins
- Assisting in the dish pit and helping to maintain a clean kitchen
- Monthly food and supplies inventory
- Adhering to sanitary and infection control procedures
- Food handling, defrosting and storage
- Participate in fire drills, staff meetings, and training
- Any other related duties as assigned by supervisor or Administrator

**Kitchen Dietary must have knowledge of and are expected to use correctly**:
lifting techniques

serving techniques

busing and cleanup techniques

sanitary and infection control procedures

disinfecting, cleaning techniques

hand washing techniques

residents' dietary and portion requirements

food handling, storage and defrosting

name and location of each resident in the dining room

proper use, cleaning and chemical requirements of the dishwashing equipment

Work Remotely

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
