**SUMMARY**:
Responsible for testing Newterra’s water treatment systems according to their designed function, engineered drawings and documentation to ensure all aspects of the system function as intended, and in compliance with specifications and requirements.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Test Newterra’s water treatment systems to ensure compliance to the engineered drawings and documentation by following required testing processes.

Follow the Setup for Test documentation and document all testing including Control Narrative

Troubleshoot problems (electrical, mechanical, programing, process). When appropriate engage Engineering, Production, Project Management, and others to resolve the problem and prevent re-occurrence.

Complete system testing as per Project Schedule.

Communicate with various departments to ensure success of system test and a smooth startup.

Report issues found by entering into quality tracking system.

Purchase and maintain tools required to meet essentials functions.

Must be able to work required overtime.

Other duties as assigned.

**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with Newterra’s safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the company processes as detailed in Newterra’s business operating system and brings forward ideas for continuous improvement.
- Responsible for completing all assigned training applicable to the position in the appropriate timeframe.
- Complete all responsibilities while ensuring adherence to Newterra’s Delegation of Authority.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing or water utilities environment.
- Instrumentation Experience (Flow meters, level transducers, float switches, etc.)
- Excellent working knowledge of PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Schneider)
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, programming, and process as asset)
- Must have meticulous attention to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Strong organizational and leadership abilities required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required
- Must be self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Ability to work within specified timelines while maintaining focus on quality and safety.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
Must be able to use both hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, stand for long periods of time, and repeat the same motions. Must also be able to push, pull and maneuver up to 50 pounds.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

Frequently works outdoors. Often wears protective attire, such as safety goggles, masks, or ear plugs. This is a manufacturing environment and will be exposed to elements such as loud noise, hazardous equipment, heat, dirt, dust, fumes, and other materials. Exposure to hot or cold temperatures or inclement weather based on indoor or outdoor conditions. Company safety standards must be always followed. May be exposed to hazardous situations when working with water systems.
