**About the Opportunity**:
Caressant Care is seeking a Ward Clerk to join our accomplished team of professionals at our 80-bed long term care home in Arthur, Ontario. As a Ward Clerk, you will contribute to the maintenance of resident health records, provide assistance with new admission and discharged charts, filing, and audits as assigned. You will book appointments, answer telephones, and direct replacement of sick calls. If you have the drive to see success in others and their healthcare, you will be a great asset to our company.
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**:
- Filing and word processing as required.
- Word processing resident information, minutes of meetings, audit summaries, listings and reports as required.
- Contacting employees about call-in opportunities as directed by the Director of Care.
- Compiling charts as required.
- Monitoring door alarms within the Nursing Home.
- Greeting and directing visitors.
- Scheduling Residents’ appointments as directed.
- Scheduling and notifying participants about meetings, conferences and similar events.
- Notify all departments about admission and discharges.
- Assisting in the Quality Assurance program as directed.
This is a part-time position. Rate of pay beginning at $19.33. Terms and conditions of employment per the Collective Agreement.
This position has a day schedule. Additional hours available through call-in procedure.
