**Position Summary**:
The **Project Manager** leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Mental Health, Substance Use, and Harm Reduction Plan.
In this role, you will support initiatives to address mental health and substance use challenges, including the impacts of the overdose public health emergency. You will provide expertise and project management by coordinating and facilitating planning sessions, conducting needs assessments, and identifying workflows, costing, and resources. You will monitor the overall budget and recommend necessary adjustments, along with writing clear briefings and communication to the Manager of Mental Health and Substance Use and the Director of Collaborative Practice, Office of the Chief Nursing Officer.

**Responsibilities**:
- Works collaboratively and respectfully with First Nations and Indigenous partners, regional and provincial health authorities and internal initiative opioid leads to facilitate delivery of the Mental Health and Substance Use plan in alignment with approved deliverables and within budget.
- Leads and manages team members who have specialized knowledge and expertise in mental health, substance use and harm reduction.
- In collaboration with the MHSU team members, develops project plan and schedules and proactively monitors progress to ensure projects are within the applicable schedule and budget.
- Monitors, anticipates and identifies project issues and risks, recommends solutions and works with senior management to implement solutions.
- Advises on strategic plan and monitors progress of projects to ensure projects are within scope, schedule, budget, and meet quality standards; provides regular project status reports.
- Utilizes project management processes, tools and templates, and ensures alignment with policies, standards and practices within FNHA
- Creates briefings and provides regular reporting to OCNO Senior Leadership in relation to the project work plan, achievements, evaluation, budget, risks and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitates collaborative working partnerships with external partners to ensure respective work plans and initiatives are aligned

**Qualifications**:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Social Science, Social Work, Psychology, Business, Health Informatics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 - 5 years of recent experience in managing multiple initiatives, complex projects related to program implementation or business transformation, preferably in a health care system or health organization
- Recent experience within the last 5 years in all aspects of project or business management, preferably in a health care system or health organization
- Proven experience in risk management and change management
- Proven experience in facilitating committee meetings
- Proven experience in preparation of briefing documents for the senior executives
- Previous experience in managing multi-year projects and deliverables
- Previous experience in managing business driven or business transformation projects
- Previous experience in BC / Canadian Healthcare
- Advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) including Project and Visio
- Experience working with SharePoint and dashboard
- Project Management Professional certification through Project Management Institute is an asset.
