Beekeeper

Responsibilities:
The Main focus of this job is to provide open hive bee tours. These will be held weekends and potentially Thursdays and Fridays depending on demand. You will also help with beekeeping tasks at the home apiary and pulling queen bees on Thursdays or Fridays. You will also help with a mid season honey harvest and extraction.

Previous beekeeping experience is a must.

You also must be personable and able to manage an eight person hive tour.
- Maintain and manage beehives and bee colonies
- Perform regular inspections to ensure the health of the bees and the hives
- Harvest honey and other hive products
- Irrigate and maintain garden areas to provide forage for bees

**Skills**:Previous beekeeping skills is a must to be able to explain detailed aspects of bees and beekeeping to tour guests.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
