Winter Dispatcher

Lavis Contracting specializes and in road and highway construction and underground sewer and watermain for MTO, municipal and private sector. Lavis provides a wide range of Paving and Construction services for all types of clients, consistently delivering projects efficiently and cost-effectively.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize a combination of 6 Snow Plow trucks for yards in: Goderich, Clinton, and Mitchell.
- Ensure 24 hour shift coverage for all units.
- Communicate effectively with in-house personnel and field operations staff.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for team members and ensure drivers adhere to Health and Safety policies.
- On-Call for issues that arise with personnel and/or equipment.
- Assist in the coordination of equipment maintenance and act as a liaison between Operations Manager and the Lavis Contracting Shop.
- Complete and input employees' hours for Payroll.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience with winter snow operations.
- Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills required.
- Computer knowledge.
- Must be available for contact on evenings and weekends as needed to ensure continued operations.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player with focus on safety.
- DZ licence an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

- Clinton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
