Tool Crib

**Double Star Drilling is seeking a full-time Purchaser-tool crib Attendant to join our team in Acheson, AB.**

**Position Summary**:
The Tool Crib/ Purchaser will ensure that the tool crib is organized and stocked as per shop and site needs for the best cost and least amount of wait time, as well as ordering shop supplies and water. The Tool Crib/ Purchaser will be responsible for maintaining inspections, dispersal and tracking of equipment and gear, and ensuring that any tools or extensions cords are meeting safety standards before use.

**Essential Duties**:

- Ability to provide tools and materials requested from the field or shop.
- Price comparisons between vendors to ensure best prices are being met.
- Complete and fill supply requests in a timely manner
- Tracking of rental equipment and blanket insurance if required (terminate insurance
on equipment when returned)
- Supply and track safety gear to workers and new hires
- Stock tool room and tool board with hand and power tools
- Stock oils and lubricants for shop and field
- Costco orders (coffee supplies and drinking water)
- Tracking stressing gear (jack, pumps, gauges)
- Manage 3 seacans with rigging, tool hardware (teeth), and generators.
- Order stickers for equipment (unit numbers and Doublestar logos)
- Order signage as required for field or shop/yard
- Ordering metals for various projects or tool repairs
- Ordering welding rod and welding supplies as required
- Tracking all rental oxy/acetylene bottles for shop and sites
- Send power tools in for repair as required to specified repair centers as per brand of
tool
- Purchase shotcrete equipment and materials as required for jobs
- Purchase rebar accessories (shaft spacers and cage clips)
- Purchase concrete cleanup lined bags
- Fire extinguisher recertifications and purchasing
- Prepare and inspect extension cords routinely to ensure they are available for the
field

- Must be able to organize and plan tasks, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must have strong mathematical skills
- Must be dependable
- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy - critical and analytical thinking required
- Ability to communicate effectively in english
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- Acheson, AB T7X 6C2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Tool Crib: 1 year (preferred)
- Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
